Who provides money for the Children's Trust Fund?

Funds are provided via private donations and fundraisers for the sole use of serving youth within the foster care system. 100% of all donations received by the Children's Trust Fund goes to goods and services that benefit foster youth and their families. The Children’s Trust Fund also benefits from in-kind donations (see below).

Who qualifies for Children’s Trust Fund assistance?

Youth residing in Los Angeles County under the supervision of DCFS qualify for assistance from the Children's Trust Fund.

What is the process for foster youth to receive assistance from the Children’s Trust Fund?

Designated DCFS staff submit a request to the Children’s Trust Fund Committee for goods and services needed by foster youth.

What types of In-Kind donations are helpful to the Children's Trust Fund?

The Children's Trust Fund serves youth in a variety of ways and therefore can benefit from a number of in-kind donations. In-kind donations frequently used are holiday gifts, toys, shoes, books, and new clothes.
If you are interested in becoming one of our Partners, please contact the Children's Trust Fund office. Even a one-time offer of service to a child in your area is greatly appreciated. We routinely provide and would appreciate assistance from you in the following areas:
